WSECU announces new members of Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee

April 8, 2021 (Olympia, Wash.) – WSECU’s Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee announced new additions to their ranks and a new board executive committee, which includes Tracy Guerin as the 2021 board chair for the $3 billion credit union. The board also welcomes two new members in Vikki Smith and Mike Vanderlinde.

The volunteer Board of Directors guides the credit union’s overall direction and strategy. Smith was recently elected by the credit union membership to a vacant seat on the board. She is the Director for the Washington State Department of Revenue and a voting member of the Economic Revenue Forecast Council, which adopts the state revenue forecast and budget outlook.

Vanderlinde joined the board through the appointment process following the retirement of Michael Stevenson, who stepped down before the end of his term after 11 years of service to the credit union.

Vanderline has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare administration and is retired from the University of Washington Medical Center where he served as the Director of Government and Financial Relations and Reimbursement.

Alongside changes on the board, the credit union’s Supervisory Committee saw the new election of Dr. Tysha K. Tolefree.

Dr. Tolefree is the Finance Functional & Budget Analyst for the Washington State Board of Community and Technical Colleges and a U.S. Air Force Veteran.

The board also elected a new executive committee which includes Guerin as chair, Carole Washburn as Vice Chair and Trudy Soucoup as Secretary. The past chair is Marcus Glasper.
