WSECU Is on the Move in Spokane Valley

February 27, 2019 (Spokane, Wash.) – WSECU members in Spokane Valley and beyond will soon enjoy a new branch designed with them in mind.

On March 4, the credit union’s Spokane Valley branch will move to 5211 East Sprague Avenue in front of the Costco shopping center, putting it at the center of a busy commercial area. The change is a move; WSECU will no longer occupy its current Spokane Valley location on East Mission Avenue.

“We are thrilled above the move and ready to show off the improvements we have in store for members,” said JJ McClinton, Spokane Valley branch manager.

The new branch has a number of improvements, including a central, convenient location; the addition of safe deposit boxes; better flow; a coin machine; two drive-through windows; and, a drive-up 24/7 ATM. Branch hours will be 9:00 am-5:30 pm Monday through Friday and 9:30 am-2:00 pm on Saturdays.

WSECU also offers access to the Shared Branching network, which allows members from other participating credit unions the ability to make deposits and withdrawals, make loan payments and get access to Visa® cash advances.

A grand opening celebration for the new Spokane Valley location is set for March 29 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The credit union will have refreshments and giveaways at the event. All are welcome, regardless of WSECU membership.

The credit union jumped on the chance to secure a great location with an existing building, but wanted to remodel the space to maximize it for member service and in keeping with the WSECU brand. Construction partners include architects Bernardo/Wills PC and general contractor Yost Gallagher Construction, both of Spokane. To add a special local touch, the branch will feature a beautiful large-format photo wall by Spokane nature photographer Craig Goodwin.

The Spokane Valley branch is one of three in the area for the state’s second-largest credit union. WSECU first opened a branch in east Spokane in 1998. The other two local branches are located at 2523 West Northwest Boulevard in Spokane and 205 East Highway 902 in Medical Lake. In total, WSECU has 21 branches across the state.

The credit union is known for its outstanding service. McClinton added, “While we’re looking forward to the move and the improvements, you can count on the same incredible team of employees to care for members in the new branch. That’s one thing that will stay the same.”
