New WSECU Headquarters Completed This Fall
After more than 30 years anchoring the corner of Union Avenue and Jefferson Street in Olympia, WSECU is moving its headquarters across the street in 2009 to serve members better.
This fall, a new flagship branch will open on the corner of Union Avenue and Adams Street in downtown Olympia with more room to welcome in the public employees and their family members who have been the foundation of this credit union for more than 50 years.
Friends and neighbors in the Olympia area have probably witnessed the upward progress of the new five-story headquarters and nearby parking garage. In 1977 when WSECU moved into its current location, the credit union served about 35,000 members. Today, it serves more than 150,000 members with the largest full-service branch network of any credit union in Washington. The new building will greatly improve efficiency by centralizing resources and adding new technology to speed up service for members.
The parking garage at the corner of 10th Street and Adams Street will be open this spring and the new headquarters and flagship branch will be ready to welcome members this fall.
